We Are Winners (Champion) – Tracey Hooper

Tracy Williams Hooper, a Birmingham Alabama native, graduated from the Alabama School of fine Arts in 1987, then went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Hooper previously worked for 6 years serving schools in South Carolina, and has worked for the Birmingham city district for the past 22 years. She is currently the Choir Director and Fine Arts Department Chair at P.D. Jackson-Olin High School.
While her students know her Ms. Hooper, she is otherwise known as SongbirdPsalmist to her listeners and subscribers, and you can find her by that name on Youtube to listen to her original songs. SongbirdPsalmist

Hooper shares her gifts with others not only through her classes and Youtube channel SongbirdPsalmist, but also through private voice lessons and serving as Minister of Music at Metropolitan AME Zion in Birmingham. Hooper is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., The American Choral Directors Association, and the Alabama vocal Association. She is the proud mother of three wonderful children: Bria, Amaya, and Corey. In her free time, she enjoys songwriting, recording music, praising God, serving others, and letting her light shine in a world of darkness.

Tracey Hooper’s encounter with the Almighty God is nothing short of amazing as His glorious wonders are ever present in every breath she takes!
